Global Bio India 2019

Global Bio-India 2020The Embassy of the Republic of India to the Russian has the honour to informabout the Global Bio-India 2020 to be held in New Delhi from 21 to 23 November 2019organized by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology,Government of India along with its Public Sector Undertaking, Biotechnology IndustryResearch Assistance Council (BIRAC).The partners are CII, ABLE, Invest India.

Biotechnology sector is recognized as one of the key drivers for contributing toIndia’s economy target of USD 5 Trillion by 2024 and is poised to grow exponentiallyover the next decade. Policy initiatives of Government of India such as Make in Indiaprogram are aimed to develop India as a world-class Biotechnology innovations and Biomanufacturing hub. India is among the top-12 destinations for biotechnology in the worldvalued at USD 51 Billion during 2018-2019.

Recognizing the importance of this sector, Global Вio-lndia 2019 would deliberateon the opportunities and key challenges in the areas of Bio-pharma, Bio-agri, Bioindustrial, Bio-energy and Bio-services sectors. Salient components of Global Bio-India2019 would include events such as Вio-partnering, Policy dialogues, CEO Roundtable,Global Regulators Meet, Investors Roundtable, Country/ Ministries/ Departments/ States/Startups Pavilions.

The event is expected to draw about 3000 delegates from across the globeconnecting Indian Biotechnology ecosystem with International ecosystem. This megainternational congregation of biotechnology stakeholders would include delegates frominternational agencies, regulatory bodies, Central & State Ministries, SMEs, Largeindustries, Clusters, Research institutes, Investors and the Startup ecosystem.
