ExINDRA19 is an international joint tri-service exercise between India and Russia

ExINDRA19 is an international joint tri-service exercise between India and Russia being held in India for the first time. Previous edition of the exercise was held at Vladivostok (Far East Region of Russia) in Oct 2017. This tri-services exercise involves missions across all domains i.e. air, land, sea and cyber space. The operations during Ex INDRA 19 are being undertaken at Pune, Goa and Babina (in Madhya Pradesh). The Russian Contingent Commander, Maj Gen Oleg Tsekov, Chief of the 5th Russian Eastern Army, and Overall Force Commander Maj Gen Vijay Singh VSM GOC, 31 Armd Div visited Pune on 13 Dec 19, to have a first hand look at the ongoing exercise activities at this location.

The Commanders were received by Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Pune Air Commodore Rahul Bhasin VM. Exercise Coordinator presented an overview of exercise, and a brief on the activities conducted so far. Maj Gen Tsekov and Maj Gen Vijay Singh interacted with exercise participants during an informal interaction. During the interaction Maj Gen Vijay Singh VSM, Overall Force Commander, highlighted the importance of international exercises like Ex INDRA 19, which act as a meeting ground for joint training, exchange of ideas and best practices for undertaking operations. Russian Contingent Commander Maj Gen Tsekov undertook an air experience sortie in a Su-30 fighter aircraft. On culmination of the visit, Air Commodore Rahul Bhasin VM, presented mementos to the visiting Commanders.
