Prime Minister Narendra Modi felicitates President Vladimir Putin on his inauguration as President of Russian Federation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated President Putin on his inauguration as President of Russian Federation. Prime Minister termed the inauguration as a historic moment as President Putin assumed office as President for the fourth term after a remarkable victory in recent Presidential elections.

Conveying his compliments, Prime Minister expressed belief that under President Putin’s leadership, Russia will attain historic milestones and achieve all the goals for its socio-economic development. He also expressed confidence that President Putin’s new term will give another opportunity to further build upon and strengthen special and privileged strategic partnership which has withstood the test of time.

Prime Minister Modi looks forward to future interactions and to welcoming President Putin in India this year. He assured that friendship between two countries will strengthen the historic bonds between the people and open a new era in bilateral ties.

He also took this opportunity to congratulate and extend the warm wishes of the people of India and on his own behalf on the Victory Day - 9th May.

Prime Minister wished all success in President Putin’s new term as President of the Russian Federation.
