The Consulate General of India in Vladivostok on May 2nd started the initiative of “50DaysToIDY2024” which marked the curtain raiser of 10th International Day of Yoga. The initiative on being received by our partners with great interest and enthusiasm was started with the practice of Nada Yoga (yoga of sound) by Ms. Kseniya Ivushkina.
During the month of May our partners conducted open classes every day and the initiative will continue into the month of June till June 21st - International Day of Yoga. The classes included chanting of «OM», Traditional, Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Hasyayoga, Aeroyoga and Kundalini yoga practices and Iyengar school of yoga among others. The classes also placed emphasis on Meditation and Relaxation through Pranayama, Yoga nidra and sound therapy. Surya Namaskars (salutations to the sun), Mudra Therapy and Yoga in hammocks taught the participants anatomy of movement.
The "50DaysToIDY2024" initiative also included seminars and courses on Happiness, Meditation and the open classes and courses offered options starting from children, beginners to pensioners to practice Yoga. Yoga picnics were also conducted along with practice of Yoga in iconic locations like Nagornyy Park in Vladivostok. We are holding International Day of Yoga events in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal district and Irkutsk region. In Vladivostok, Primorye region the International Day of Yoga event will be held on June 22.
