Instruction for Regular Visa Applicants

- Passport 

  • Must have at least two blank pages

  • Must be valid for at least six months from the intended date of entry (if visa is issued)

  • Must be in good condition, without any damage or tampering 

- Digital Photograph 

  • Should be in JPEG format

  • Should have a white background, No shadows, and No borders

  • Should not be more than 3 months old

  • Should show full face, front view, and eyes open. 

  • Should have a minimum size of 10KB and maximum size of 300KB

  • Should have a resolution of 350x350 pixels 

- Application Form 

  • Should be filled out online 

  • A separate application must be filed for each applicant

  • Furnish information exactly as requested

  • Verify the application details before submitting the online application

  • Use the 'Save' option to save the filled application form for easy retrieval

  • Ensure all required fields are filled in

  • Ensure there are no errors or discrepancies

  • No modifications are allowed after submission

  • Keep the Application ID (generated automatically after submitting the online form) for reference

  • Print the submitted application

  • Should be signed by the applicant 

- Additional Documents 

  • May be required depending on the type of visa  applied for 

  • Should be in PDF or JPEG format

  • Should have a minimum size of 10KB and maximum size of 300KB 

- Application Submission 

  • Should take a printout of the online submitted application form.

  • Should have all required documents attached.

  • Should be submitted within the specified timeframe to avoid any delays.

  • Should be submitted in-person at the Consulate’s Consular Wing on a walk-in basis, without appointment.

- Visa fee & Payment 

  • Should be made by cash (in Roubles) only 

  • Should be paid in full, with no partial payments accepted

  • No refund will be provided under any circumstances 

- Interview 

  • May be required for certain types of visas

  • Should be attended in-person at the Consulate’s Consular wing 

  • Should have all required documents and information ready

  • Should be prepared to answer questions and provide additional information 

- Processing Time 

  • Varies depending on the type of visa

  • Should check the status of the application online or through the Indian Mission/Post

  • Should not contact the Indian Mission/Post for status updates unless necessary 

- Note

  • The Consulate reserves the right to ask for additional documents or information

  • The Consulate reserves the right to refuse visa applications without assigning any reason

  • Do not confirm travel arrangements until visa approval. The Mission is not responsible for losses due to premature bookings. 

- Important 

  • Visa application fees and service charges once paid are non-refundable or transferable under any circumstances.

  • Visa validity starts from the date of issue, not from the intended departure date mentioned in the application.
